After being asked what his favorite guitar solo was. One of the two musicians mentioned (Ry Cooder is the other one) is his favorite soloist, while the other has released his favorite album of all time.
I love the way he is always poised on the brink of total chaos, but knowing how to place each note in the place where it can arouse great emotion.
It's the kind of courage that I respect more than anything in musicians. Not perfection or any kind of clean technical expertise. I really enjoy seeing musicians push themselves to the point of collapse. He did it in the best way. ".
Beth Hart's and the tribute album to Led Zeppelin.
"Black Dog" (YouTube Video Here) was one of nine covers included on Hart's recently released studio album, A Tribute to Led Zeppelin.
She had a chance to work with Jimmy Page in the early 2000s, but it didn't work out. Instead, she soon landed an equally impressive gig, writing and touring with Jeff Beck, beginning in 2006.
Hart as she prepared for the next tour. She discussed with UCR on why she didn't get the gig with Page, the experience of working with Beck, and the new music she's been working on.
Jason Flom had originally given me a hookup to Jimmy Page, Beth recalls. My DVD had gone to him. His wife at the time, I guess was pretty frickin’ jealous. She said, “No frickin’ way, are you working with that girl.” So then it went to Jeff Beck.
Scarlett Sabet: Our quiet home life
The couple, whose ages are 46 years apart, have been together for nearly seven years, working together and separately out of the Page's London home, Tower House. Sabet characterized the Led Zeppelin guitarist as a funny family fan — a far cry from the personality presented in the rumor mill.
They told The Sun: ‘Jimmy is leading a very conventional life by the looks of things, not very rock’n’roll. His new girlfriend seems a very normal kind of girl.’
And Jimmy Page's girlfriend has admitted she had to get over a 'sense of shame' when she sparked up a romance with the twice-married former Led Zeppelin guitarist, 79.
In a new interview with Tatler, Scarlett Sabet, 33, said while the pair are in an 'amazing relationship', at the beginning she felt like her 'life was going to be over; as she struggled with the assumptions made about them.
‘I guess some people will say I’ve made an unusual choice. At the time it felt very uncomfortable. I felt like my life was going to be over. I had such a sense of shame about the whole thing.’
“Jimmy has this dark reputation and certainly people play up the Casanova image," the poet explained. “Obviously Jimmy has lived but now he doesn't drink either, so that’s another thread that binds us. He’s seen people who have died, he's lost best friends. He’s seen all sides of that coin.”
“He really is my best friend and the person who makes me laugh the most," she added. "It’s funny because on paper there is a massive difference. But when he's standing in front of me, it’s not something I feel; it’s not something that impedes us.”Page’s eldest daughter, coincidentally called Scarlet, is 18 years older than his girlfriend.
Sabet, 33, noted that she and Page have a simple life. “We don’t entertain in the house,” she explained. “Jimmy’s children come to stay, which is lovely. My siblings come too… Other than that, we like it to be just us. I feel so safe here, it’s such an inspiring house.”
The musician, who split from his second wife Jimena Gómez-Paratcha in 2008, was first seen with Scarlett at high street chicken restaurant Nando's.
