Pink Floyd to stream Live At Pompeii this evening at 5pm

The Pink Floyd initiative was proposed to alleviate the home isolation imposed by the pandemic caused by Covid-19.

Released in 1972 Pink Floyd Live At Pompeii is film of the band performing without an audience in the historic Roman amphitheatre of Pompeii, directed by Adrian Maben.

Genesis instead will release the first of five concert films on Saturday 18 April. It starts with Three Sides Live, which combines the footage of two New York concerts in 1981. It will be possible to view the movie at the link: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChv9FR8xwUxEkdBUVu4VUOw.

The album was released in England the 23rd of March 1973 was an immediate commercial and critical success; it topped the Billboard Top LPs & Tapes chart for a week and remained in the chart for 741 weeks from 1973 to 1988. With an estimated 45 million copies sold, it is Pink Floyd’s most commercially successful album and one of the best-selling worldwide.
