Last night (October 10), the progressive metal band took to social media to announce ‘Parasomnia’, which will mark their first record with founding member and drummer Mike Portnoy since 2009’s ‘Dark Clouds & Silver Linings’.
Parasomnia’ will serve as the band’s 16th studio album in total and 11th with Portnoy. The album is due for release on February 7, 2025. ‘Parasomnia’ will be available for pre-order later today (October 11).
To celebrate the album’s announcement, the band have also shared a new single, ‘Night Terror’, along with its accompanying music video. The nearly 10-minute-long song sees Mike Portnoy’s technical drum style along with the rest of the band’s signature odd-time signatures.
