Meanwhile Margot Robbie Earned $50 Million for Barbie,The film has grossed $1.18 billion globally
The Barbie bucks keep rolling in: Margot Robbie, both the star and a co-producer of Greta Gerwig’s latest blockbuster, is set to earn around $50 million through her salary and box office bonuses for her role in making Barbie Land a box office smash.

“Barbie” director and co-writer Greta Gerwig will also likely receive bonuses because of the film’s outsized success. “Barbie” has earned an astonishing $526.3 million at the domestic box office since it opened a month ago, as well as $657.6 million at the international box office. (Variety report)

That comes out to $1.18 billion globally — and that figure should keep climbing given that “Barbie” is still topping box office charts. The film is now the second highest-grossing release in the history of Warner Bros., behind “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2.” It’s also the highest-grossing film ever from a female director, overtaking the previous record holder, “Frozen II,” which was co-directed by Jennifer Lee.

The soundtrack for the Barbie movie has taken over the UK singles charts by breaking previous records, the Official Charts Company has said.

Barbie: The Album, which accompanies the Greta Gerwig-directed comedy about the Mattel doll of the same name, has become the first film soundtrack to land three top five songs at the same time.

American singer Billie Eilish’s contemplative What Was I Made For? has reached number three this week.

Dua Lipa’s Dance The Night is now at number four and in fifth position is the reworking of Aqua’s Barbie World by rappers Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice.
