Paul McCartney has wrapped up the 50th anniversary episode of Saturday Night Live (SNL) with a medley performance featuring songs from ‘Abbey Road’ – check it out below.

Last night (February 16), McCartney closed out the special 50th anniversary episode of SNL with a medley performance that marked his fifth time performing as a musical guest on the long-running sketch comedy show. It was his first time performing on the show since 2012.

For his performance, McCartney played three songs from The Beatles‘ iconic ‘Abbey Road’ record: ‘Golden Slumbers’, ‘Carry That Weight’ and ‘The End’.

McCartney kicked off the medley on piano for ‘Golden Slumbers’ before segueing into ‘Carry That Weight’. To close out the show, aptly with ‘The End’, McCartney hopped on a bench with his electric guitar as the audience clapped along.

McCartney previously appeared on Saturday Night Live eight times. Though he has never hosted, the Beatle was a musical guest in 1980, 1993, 2010 and 2012. He also made cameos in 2006, 2013 and 2015. McCartney also was part of the sketch show's 40th anniversary special 10 years ago.

Elsewhere during the show, the likes of Miley Cyrus, Lil Wayne and more performed throughout the anniversary episode. Sabrina Carpenter and Paul Simon kicked off the show with ‘Homeward Bound’, which the latter had performed on the show with George Harrison in 1976.
