The music superstar has opened up about why she doesn't like releasing singles before an album.
"I don't like singles from albums," Billie told Rolling Stone in an interview published on Wednesday. "Every single time an artist I love puts out a single without the context of the album, I'm just already prone to hating on it. I really don't like when things are out of context. "This album is like a family: I don't want one little kid to be in the middle of the room alone."
'The singer took to social media to express her frustration after the outlet published a list of the songs on her upcoming album.
Her message, posted via her Instagram Stories, was short and to the point: "f**k you guys @rollingstone", accompanied by an emoji of a clown face.
She went on to post a second Story with the words, "f**k rolling stone".
Eilish has been building anticipation for a new drop in recent days, including hinting at a possible new album by adding all her followers to her ‘Close Friends’ Story on Instagram.

Billie should know, however, that when the album is on presale on sites, with the cover photo, the tracklist also becomes public domain. If she didn't want the tracklist to be known, she should have been more careful.
Her latest clue arrives today (April 8) in a video clip featuring the singer sinking in a murky body of water, before a hand emerges from out of frame to pull her out.
The clip features a heartbeat sound before the entrance of an electronic keyboard tune and vocalising from the singer.
The clip is simply captioned: “READY?”
The billboards do not feature the Grammy- and Oscar-winning artist’s name but do include her familiar “blohsh” symbol and what appear to be lyric snippets saying things like “Did I cross the line?,” “I try to live in black and white” and “She’s the headlights I’m the deer.” A rep for the artist did not immediately respond to Variety‘s requests for comment.
The billboards feature a shade of blue that is now the profile photo and backdrop of her social media accounts. Their locations were unclear at the time of this article’s publication but at least two appear to be in New York and Eilish’s hometown of Los Angeles.
