David Bowie's son Duncan Jones has taken to Twitter to blast Russia Today for using his dad's lyrics to Space Oddity in a tweet about Russia-US space cooperation. The film producer, 50, was quick to fire back with poignant lyrics to his father's hit Heroes, while airing his support for Ukraine as Russia continues its invasion of the country.
Duncan's tweet comes as a Russia-affiliated newsite posted a link to a story about NASA's response to the US and Russia's space cooperation amid the Ukraine-Russia conflict.
Russia Today captioned the post: "Ground control to major Tom." The words derive from David Bowie's 1969 hit song, Space Oddity.
