The multimedia exhibit will welcome visitors to step into The Beatles’ January 1969 rehearsals, sessions, and rooftop performance with original instruments, clothing, handwritten lyrics and other unique items”.

Fans will experience The Beatles’ creative journey through the exhibit’s original instruments, clothing, and handwritten lyrics used by The Beatles and seen in the film, including items loaned directly by Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, and the estates of George Harrison and John Lennon. The exhibit will feature high-definition film clips, audio, and custom projections, transporting fans into The Beatles’ vibrant world of January 1969. More info at Rockhall.com

Like Jackson's “Get Back” docuseries, the exhibit shows how The Beatles composed and recorded many of their iconic songs from scratch. The exhibit's three screening rooms feature a selection of footage from each location from the docuseries: Twickenham, Apple Studios, and the Apple Corps rooftop. The footage from the recording sessions and conversations turn the clock back to 1969, showing the intimacy, joyousness, and humor as The Beatles write and record songs for Let It Be and some songs featured on Abbey Road and future solo albums.

It concluded: “Special events will be hosted by Rock Hall during the exhibit’s run. Screenings, panels and virtual Q&As will be announced throughout the year.”

More details on the exhibition are to be released, but for music lovers, this is sure to be one of the highlights of 2022.

In addition to the film footage, the “Get Back to Let It Be” exhibit features some fascinating curios from the collections of the era’s principal figures. Engineer Glyn Johns donated a vinyl acetate of songs and his marked-up handwritten calendar from May 1969 and January 1970, featuring Beatles-related and other business matters. (Lunch with Elektra Records’ Jac Holzman is one highlight.) Ringo Starr, meanwhile, contributes the tomato-red Lurex raincoat he borrowed from then-wife Maureen and the maple Ludwig drum kit he played in “Let It Be” sessions and rooftop concert. (Variety)

A brand new bar has opened in Cains Brewery Village, but it’s not your average bar.

The 60’s and Beatles-inspired venue is based inside a yellow submarine. Before it was a bar, the impressive submarine has had quite an exciting past.

For years, the yellow submarine was then used as a floating hotel on the Albert Dock and had visits from celebrities including Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis, Tony Curtis, Nick Rhodes and more.

Now it’s based in the Baltic Triangle and is Liverpool’s only yellow submarine bar.

Founder of the bar Alfie Bubbles, who also owns The Black Pearl and Hippie Chic in Cains Brewery Village, told the Echo: "It’s a very trendy area and an up and coming place, so we had to open here.

"Now there are more Beatles fans than ever too, so it’s something different for the city."

Inside the retro bar is decorated with Beatles memorabilia, so once inside, guests can also take advantage of the Instagram opportunitiesThemed cocktails on the menu include the Yellow Sub made with malibu, Bacardi, pineapple juice and orange juice, Ringo Starr with vanilla vodka, passion fruit, pineapple juice, passoa and prosecco and Lennon with tequila, orange juice and grenadine.
