Knightley stopped by The Graham Norton Show, where she surprised the audience with the unexpected skill in a party tricks segment. She performed the classic "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head" with -- yep -- her teeth, to the delight of the host.
"I mean, I can play anything you want," she offered." . "I can play 'Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head.' I mean, I can play anything you want."
In addition to displaying her musical skills, the Pride & Prejudice star opened up about receiving an OBE and why she didn't open up the letter notifying her of the honor for days.
"I didn't open the envelope for about three days," she said. "It was from the Home Office and it was terrifying because I thought I was in trouble with tax and that I had messed it up and that they were going to take away the house. So, I hid the letter!"
Eventually, she decided to face her fear.
"After three days, I thought, 'I am a mother. I am responsible, and I am going to confess to my husband that I've messed up,'" she said. "So, I opened it, and it was a prize!"
Knightley last appeared in the franchise’s third instalment, 2007’s Pirates Of The Caribbean: At World’s End.
Paul McCartney appeared in the new Pirates Of The Caribbean film, according to reports. His reported appearance follows Rolling Stone Keith Richards playing the role of Captain Teague in Pirates Of The Caribbean: At World’s End and Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. Teague was the father of Captain Jack Sparrow, as played by Johnny Depp, who cited Richards as an influence on the way he played the character.
After bringing in Keith Richards to play Captain Jack Sparrow’s father for 2007’s At World’s End, the franchise has now recruited Paul McCartney for a cameo role—proving that, when you’re a legendary British rocker, alas, you’re never too old to play pirate dress-up.
The circumstances of McCartney’s role in the film are intriguingly fuzzy; though Deadline had multiple sources tell them that McCartney filmed a scene in the movie, none of them would describe his role, which could mean it’s something totally insane (for example, playing Paul McCartney’s pirate great-great-grandfather!)
