Lana Del Rey, Doja Cat to headline Coachella 2024.
The 38-year-old pop star - who is headlining Coachella this year - has been working with her regular collaborator and the country music hitmaker on new tunes.

LANA DEL REY has confirmed she has a new album in the works and this time it’s a little bit country. The singer announced the LP, Lasso, at Billboard’s pre-Grammy event in Los Angeles on Wednesday night.

During the event, Del Rey took the stage to fete producer Jack Antonoff, who is her collaborator on the new album. “If you can’t already tell by our award winners and our performers, the music business is going country,” she told the crowd. “We’re going country. It’s happening. That’s why Jack has followed me to Muscle Shoals, Nashville, Mississippi, over the last four years.”

Lasso, out in September, will mark the singer’s 10th studio LP and third in the past four years. Her album Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd dropped last March and netted the her five Grammy nods, including Album of the Year and Best Alternative Music Album. Her song “A&W” is nominated for Song of the Year and Best Alternative Music Performance, while “Candy Necklace” with Jon Batiste is up for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

In an Instagram video revealing she is supporting the San Francisco 49’ers at the upcoming Super Bowl - where they will face off with Taylor Swift's boyfriend Travis Kelce's team the Kansas City Chiefs - she also spilled: "Jack's [Antonoff] in town, I'm going to see him work on some little songs. I've had a really beautiful week with [songwriter and producer] Luke Laird."

The report comes from HITS Daily Double, a music industry trade publication, which states that “rumour has it” that the two artists have been “confirmed” to headline the event.

Back in June, the festival’s organisers confirmed that the 2024 edition would fall across the weekends of April 12-14 and April 19-21 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. All the latest news about ticket availability can be found.
