Video: Cardi B furious throws the microphone at fan after having drink splashed over her on stage.

The incident involving Cardi B in Las Vegas is the latest in a spate which has seen fans throwing things at music stars on stage - from Skittles at Harry Styles to Pink receiving a bag containing a mother's ashes.

Little did she know it at the time, but Cardi B turned a simple microphone into a near $100,000 charity donation simply by chucking it at an unruly fan at her concert.

After the “WAP” rapper went viral for angrily hurling her mic at a person in the audience at her July 29 Drai’s Beach Club performance in Las Vegas, Scott Fisher — owner of the audio production company The Wave — put the piece of equipment up for auction on eBay. One week and 122 bids later, the microphone has sold for a whopping $99,900.

“On July 30, 2023, an individual came into an LVMPD police station to report a battery,” the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) told Rolling Stone in a statement. While police did not mention Cardi B by name in their statement, the address on the incident report matched the location where she was performing on Saturday. “During a concert, she was struck by an item that was thrown from the stage.”

No arrest or citation has been issued, according to the police. A rep for Cardi B did not respond to Rolling Stone‘s request for comment.

Cardi B has landed herself in hot water after she launched a microphone at an audience member, with an excellent left hand smash, less than 24 hours after she threw her microphone at a DJ.

In the first clip, Cardi – born Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar – rocked a busty bright orange dress while she performed on stage to a roaring audience.

In the middle of singing her 2018 hit Bodak Yellow, the singer raises the microphone up to her face for another verse before she was suddenly sprayed with liquid in the face from a drink in the audience.

Footage of the incident, which shows the US rapper performing in a flowing orange dress in Las Vegas, has been widely shared on social media.

The singer is visibly shocked before she jumped into action and thew a microphone at someone in the audience as the soundtrack to her song with her vocals plays in the background.

Cardi then fixes her hair as security appears to take charge of the situation in the crowd before she carried on with her set list.

But this wasn’t the first time the rapper had used her microphone for something other than singing at during a gig in Las Vegas just hours earlier.

After the incident, the singer's account retweeted the video. There are several episodes of artists being harassed by their own fans.

The Up rapper took to Twitter on Monday with her reaction to a viral video showing the Dalai Lama kissing a young boy and asking him to suck his tongue.

“This world is full of predators,” Cardi tweeted in response to the clip. “They prey on the innocent. The ones who are most unknowing, our children.”

She continued, “Predators could be our neighbours, our school teachers, even people (with) money, power & our
