Lamb of God wrote on social media about the tragedy that struck the Headbangers Boat, the metal cruise created by the band (in which our Lacuna Coil also participated) which was held from October 31st to November 4th in the waters of the Atlantic Ocean .
On the last evening of the event, November 3, a 41-year-old man fell from the ship. The news was given by the company itself, Norwegian Cruise. Search operations began immediately, but according to multiple American newspapers, the man has not been found.
Yesterday, Lamb of God addressed the topic a week later in a text that accompanies a video celebrating the event. After thanking the fans (the cruise will also take place next year, tickets are already on sale) and the people involved in the project, the band dedicated a few lines to what happened.
“It is shocking that such a joyous occasion has quickly turned into tragedy. We don't know what exactly happened, but we know that every single person on that ship was part of our family and we were able to see the common pain of having lost one of us." The statement continues: «We cannot be more proud of the metal community and how they have come together to support each other and celebrate metal in the only way we know how. This community united by music is truly a community."
