The Rolling Stones taking along three of country music's most promising rising artists as opening acts. Lainey Wilson, Tyler Childers and the War and Treaty are just three of the many artists who will open for the band
The Stones will kick off their '24 Hackney Diamonds Tour in Houston on April 28. The road trek is set to run for more than 20 dates across the U.S. before wrapping up in Santa Clara, Calif., on July 17. (Tour dates below)
Childers is set to open for the Rolling Stones at their June 3 concert at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Fla. Lainey Wilson will warm up the crowd before their show at Soldier Field in Chicago on June 30, and the War & Treaty will open the show on July 10 at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
Lainey Wilson has come a long way in her music career. A talented songwriter and an esteemed vocalist, it was only a matter of time before she got her time in the spotlight.
With her rock and soul-infused country music sound and signature bell bottom trousers, Lainey Wilson certainly makes an impression.
The Louisiana singer-songwriter was precociously talented from a young age, releasing her first EP and wowing audiences with a Hannah Montana tribute act while in her teens.
She swept the boards at the Country Music Awards earlier this year, winning five categories including entertainer of the year — following Taylor Swift as the only female artist to scoop that award since 2000.
A series of photos showing the band’s gear has been posted on The Stones’ social media pages, along with a note that reads, “Meanwhile… somewhere in the US the Rolling Stones were starting tour rehearsals.”
Among the pics are photos of various guitars, drums, amplifiers, stage monitors, microphones, and more.
Meanwhile, Chanel Haynes, one of The Rolling Stones’ backing singers, posted a video on her socials showing the same photos soundtracked by the band’s 1974 hit “It’s Only Rock ‘n’ Roll (but I Like It).” Alongside the clip is a message that reads, “Let the fun begin!”
