Mick Fleetwood has confirmed that Fleetwood Mac are “done” following the untimely death of Christine McVie last November.
Prior to his Grammy “in memoriam” performance of Fleetwood Mac‘s 1977 Rumours track “Songbird,” along with Sheryl Crow and Bonnie Raitt during the 65th annual Grammy Awards, drummer Mick Fleetwood said that he doesn’t see a future for his legendary band following the death of their keyboardist and songwriter Christine McVie, who died on November 30, 2022, at 79.
Ultimately, Mick and the rest of the group didn't think it was worth the effort for the pay on offer, with other bands such as The Rolling Stones taking a net loss from the event.
Regardless, the band are still going strong and still selling millions of records, though it hasn’t always been easy for Mick.

He has been in three marriages, with his current relationship status the source of some speculation.
First wed was with Jenny Boyd, (George Harrison Sister in love) Jenny was just 15 years-old, with the pair later tying the knot in 1970.
They went on to have a tumultuous relationship, with the pair both dealing with addiction to cocaine, with Jenny even having an affair with Fleetwood Mac’s guitarist Bob Weston.
Ultimately, they divorced in 1976, but that wasn’t the end of their relationship.
They eventually reconciled in 1977 and remarried during a tour around Ireland, until Mick revealed his own affair.
In her book Jennifer Juniper: A Journey Beyond the Muse, she said of their meeting that year: “When he pulled out a white packet from his waistcoat pocket, I tried not to show my disappointment.”
Mick then said: “There’s something I ought to tell you.” However, what he told her still came as a shock. I’ve been having an affair with Stevie [Nicks] for the last few months since we were in Australia.”
From that point on, the pair remained friends.
Though Fleetwood has never drummed for the Stones, he has collaborated with many of the band’s members. In 1983, Fleetwood and Richards played with Jerry Lee Lewis on the short-lived variety show Salute! Fleetwood was also the drummer on Ronnie Wood’s 1979 solo album Gimme Some Neck, and in 2020, former Stones bassist Bill Wyman participated in Fleetwood’s all-star tribute to Peter Green.
“I used to go down and see the Rolling Stones at Eel Pie Island [in South London] when I didn’t know them at all,” Fleetwood recalled to Classic Rock, remembering his early years in the band the Cheynes. “We went on tour with them in 1964. And to this day Keith Richards is one of the three people who call me Michael; John McVie and Eric Clapton are the others.
“The Stones really are my favorite band,” the drummer continued. “My dream was always that Charlie Watts got the flu, and I get to save the day and play with the Stones for a week. But the call never came.”
Watts died on Aug. 24, 2021, at the age of 80. In a tribute at the time, Fleetwood wrote, "Dear Charlie, I, like so many, am sad today. … However, knowing there are no words, still I’m driven to say to you … 'You, in life, had style!' You as a player were above and beyond! You are my dream come true! No one could drive a band like you!”

The 74-year-old drummer can be seen adorning a purple zebra print suit and top hat as he models the brand’s colourful new nail polishes as part of its psychedelic-themed collection Shroom Bloom.
Styles, 28, launched the brand in November, which offers unisex nail polishes, skincare products and branded apparel.

Speaking to Vogue magazine, Styles described the new face of his brand as a “magical man” and a musical hero.
The singer said: “Mick is someone who brings me – and countless others – great joy. I felt there couldn’t be a better embodiment of Pleasing, or a person who could so naturally capture the wizardry that we love.”
Recntly Haim performed a cover often play a part in that, and no song hits harder in the band’s live show than ‘Oh Well’. The spirit of Peter Green remains alive and well through the later generations of rock stars, and ‘Oh Well’ continues to wow crowds over 50 years after its initial release.
