Ahead of Accentuate the Positive's November 3rd release, Van Morrison has announced he will be performing two intimate live shows at the Limelight Belfast.
Van Morrison has added an extra date as his intimate Belfast gigs sell out amid phenomenal demand.
The musician is set to perform at sold out concerts in the Limelight on Friday November 4 and Saturday November 5, 2023 after unveiling his 45th studio album, titled Accentuate The Positive.
High demand has resulted in a third night being added to the fully seated fixture.
Tickets for additional set on Friday November 3 will go on sale on Wednesday, October 18. Van’s latest album is available to pre-order ahead of its release on November 3.
It has been described as an “electrifying homage to rock ‘n’ roll” and features the first single, a new take on the Johnny Kidd classic Shakin’ All Over.
The two shows will take place on Saturday November 4th and Sunday 5th. It will be a fully seated performance.
Morrison will be performing a selection of tracks from the upcoming album.
Morrison's 45th studio album, which is set for release on November 3, is available in CD, 2 LP black vinyl, and 2 LP blue vinyl formats RTTnews reports.
Morrison revisits rock 'n' roll by reimagining some of his personal favorites for Accentuate The Positive. The 19-track album includes such great songs as "Shakin' All Over," The Johnny Burnette Trio's "Lonesome Train," and Big Joe Turner's pioneering rock 'n' roll hit "Flip, Flop and Fly."
Contributors to the album include electric guitar from the late Jeff Beck and vocals from Chris Farlowe on "Lonesome Train," plus guitar from Taj Mahal on "Lucille" and "Shake, Rattle and Roll."
"Rock 'n' roll is about simplicity, sincerity and expressive power and there's no way you can get away from that. That's why it's good and that's why it's lasted. It's spirit music," Morrison said about the upcoming album.
