A tribute concert happening in Montreal this week will feature music by David Bowie, Grace Jones, Nina Hagen and Klaus Nomi, along with Beethoven, Richard Strauss, Michael Nyman and more.
Autour de la Flute‘s Re/Unification show has a diverse set-list combining rock, pop, new wave and post-punk songs with works by classical and contemporary composers to evoke the socio-political tensions of the 1980s.
The performance will take place at Jeunesses Musicales du Canada (305 Mont-Royal E.) on Thursday, Sept. 17 at 7:30 p.m.
