Hill tells us about her Blur and Prodigy-inspired new album, hitting back at Jack Whitehall for "punching down" in calling her 'Wetherspoons Whitney' and feeling inspired by "watching other pop girlies have their authentic moment"
“I still want people who discovered me on The Voice to like it, but I want to bring in people that listen to Chase & Status, Fred Again.., Four Tet and Joy Anonymous as well,“ she told NME shortly before the record was released.
Her upcoming third album ‘Rebecca’ (announced today and out September 25) is very different. Not only does it have a “punk” energy thanks to its Blur and The Prodigy influences, it also sees Hill tackling a “diverse” range of subject matters including “nepo baby” Jack Whitehall calling her “Wetherspoons Whitney” at the 2025 BRIT Awards.
The BRIT Award-winning singer-songwriter will take to the stage at the Cornwall concert series on Saturday June 20.
The 31-year-old singer has taken up aerial rope classes as a new hobby and is excited about incorporating her skills into her stage show when she goes on tour with her third album.
She told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “I’ve actually started some aerial work myself. I was on tour with Katy Perry last year and she had quite a few aerial artists.
“A couple of them were from Cirque du Soleil so it kind of inspired me, and I’ve started my own rope, which I’ve had a few goes on, and I’m not too bad.
She’ll make her debut appearance at the event “in front of the Biomes for a truly one-of-a-kind show”, organisers said.

The line-up for next year’s Eden Sessions also features Pixies (June 26), Bowling For Soup and Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls (July 5), Bastille (July 9) and The Maccabees (July 11).
Many more names are still to be announced for the Eden Project’s landmark 25th year.
Hill has numerous other UK gigs scheduled for summer 2026, including York Racecourse, Chester’s Together Again Festival, and Colchester Castle’s Summer Series. In February, she’ll head to Australia for the first-ever Mighty Hoopla Sydney on Bondi Beach.
Last year, she headed out on the road in support of her second studio album ‘Believe Me Now?’, which was released in May 2024. Earlier this year, she opened for Katy Perry on the European leg of her ‘Lifetimes’ tour.
