Bob Dylan's works will be exhibited from December 16 through April 30 next year. There will be over 100 Dylan's works including paintings, watercolors, ink and graphite drawings, metal sculptures, video material, which explore over 60 years of Bob Dylan's creative activity.
Bob Dylan said he was very happy with the permanence of his works in our capital: “It is very gratifying to know that my visual works will be exhibited at MAXXI, in Rome, a very special museum in one of the most beautiful and stimulating cities in the world. This exhibition aims to offer different points of view, which examine the human condition and explore those mysteries of life that continue to perplex us. It is very different from my music, of course, but it has the same intent ”.
Bob Dylan, forged this untitled sculpture from iron and vintage objects, creating a set of gates that stands 11 feet tall and 10 feet wide.
Dylan, the subject of a recent retrospective at the Frost Art Museum, has long been associated with the music world. This is the first work of public art by Dylan in the United States, a legacy to creativity and an entryway to FIU’s campus art museum.

Dylan’s first exhibition of artwork was The Drawn Blank Series, unveiled at Kunstsammlungen Chemnitz, Germany in 2007. Retrospectrum was initially conceived for the Modern Art Museum (MAM) in Shanghai, China, where it first .
For Dylan, art is simply another way of expressing himself when words fail. But it's also a way of filling time. When at a loose end between concerts he will often sketch. His artwork first became public in the 1970s when it appeared on his album sleeves such as Self-Portrait and Planet Waves. In his drawings Dylan tries to put "orderliness to the chaos around".
Bob Dylan's art is a glimpse of the world through his eyes. These paintings show a man on the periphery, constantly peering in, observing and are somewhat telling of life on tour. Views of hotel rooms, car parks and awkward looking people in bars are just some of the subjects he paints.
Now Dylan is set to help open a whiskey distillery in fall 2020 under the brand "Heaven's Door."
A news release says Heaven's Door Spirits will transform the 160-year-old Elm Street Church into the Heaven's Door Distillery and Center for the Arts, featuring the distillery, a whiskey library, a restaurant and a 360-seat live performance venue.

Mr. Dylan is not simply licensing his name. He is a full partner in the business, Heaven’s Door Spirits, which Mr. Bushala said had raised $35 million from investors.
