Carlile announced the news on Instagram yesterday (August 7), telling fans she had been “so profoundly anxious about this decision”, but had to push the gigs back due to “personal circumstances”.
“I’m aware that this change may be disappointing and inconvenient for many of you, especially those of you who were planning on travelling internationally,” she wrote. “I want nothing more than to see my friends across the pond and I have done everything in my power to avoid rescheduling this tour.”
Her Lisbon show has been cancelled outright, and refunds will be issued to ticket holders. Meanwhile, two new dates in Wolverhampton and Copenhagen have been added.
Fans holding tickets to shows in England that have changed venues will be offered full refunds along with priority presale access to the new dates.
The postponement does not affect the U.S. leg of the tour, which is scheduled to begin next week in Maine.
Carlile is due to play All Things Go festival next month, which takes place at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland, from September 25 to 27.
In other news, earlier this year the singer hit out at Donald Trump after a huge live show in Minneapolis, and said that those who voted for him have been “scammed”.
