Chappell Roan’s Iconic ‘Hot to Go!’ Unitard Sells for $89K in L.A. Wildfire Relief Auction

A vintage sequined marching band unitard, worn by Chappell Roan in the 2023 music video for "HOT TO GO!," off of the singer's debut album The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess, as well as on stage at Day 3 of Outside Lands Festival at Golden Gate Park on August 11, 2024 in San Francisco, California. Together with a pair of white Monsieur Jeffrey Campbell knee-high pump boots, with front cutout and buckle details, size 7.

The unitard features a gold lurex belt with fringe, white Nehru collar with red piping, gold Velcro epaulets with fringe and braided rope, a keyhole at bust, and sequined applique stars. Palace Costume barcode present. With additional label that reads "Lori Rabt GiGi - 6." Styled by Genesis Webb.

The outfit — worn by the Missouri native in her “Hot to Go!” music video and onstage at Outside Lands Festival in August — went for a total of $88,900. According to People, it was the highest-selling item of the whole event.

The purple set sold for $22,225 — over 22 times more than its estimated selling price of $1,000 — while the platforms raked in a grand total of $6,350.

Items worn by Sabrina Carpenter, Billie Eilish, Hayley Williams, Olivia Rodrigo and the inventor of BRAT herself, Charli xcx, also sold for thousands.Sabrina Carpenter

The iconic polka-dot co-ord Carpenter, 25, wore in her “Taste” music video — Blondita’s popular Gwen set — sold for $22,225, while the hooded Alaïa minidress she wore in her “Please Please Please” music video (the pre-Dolly Parton version!) boasted a winning bid of $34,925. (An outfit Jenna Ortega wore in the “Taste” video alongside the star also sold for $13,000.)
