Slash has released a cover of Howlin' Wolf's "Killing Floor," the first single off his star-studded blues covers album Orgy of the Damned, which arrives May 17. The song features AC/DC's Brian Johnson on vocals and Aerosmith's Steven Tyler on harmonica.

Slash also announces March and April 2024 tour

"Killing Floor" illustrates Slash's overall goal for the project: to make sure he was doing something different with each song and not just tapping the usual suspects. "I loved doing the song and I thought, 'Who do you call? I don’t want to go after the most obvious blues guys,'" he explained. "I want to get guys who totally get it. There’s a definite traditional blues market with guys that that’s what they do. I didn’t want to go there. I wanted to make it a little bit more eclectic. Brian was the first guy I thought of for this song."

Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators have announced five headline shows in England and Ireland for spring 2024.

Slash is gearing up for a big announcement this Friday, March 8, regarding a brand-new solo project.

The Guns N’ Roses guitarist revealed in a post on his social media that he’s set to share details about a blues-themed solo album he’ll be releasing soon.

“I’m a rock guitar player that’s firmly rooted in blues,” Slash says in a voice-over accompanying the video. “Blues guitar is really something that I got turned on to when I was a kid. If you were to listen to anything that I do, you can see how big the blues influence is, and I’d always thought that I’d want to record a record at some point. And we got together and did it.
