According to music licensing company Phonographic Performance Limited (PPL), the 32-year-old music artist, who collected five Brit Awards in March, is among a growing cohort of dance music stars, including Becky Hill and Joel Corry, who have appointed PPL to collect their international neighbouring rights royalties. I Love It, released in 2012 by Swedish pop-duo Icona Pop, tops the list of the singer’s most played UK tracks, amounting to 22% of her total airplay, according to the company’s data.
This is followed by 2014’s Boom Clap, with Fancy, by Australian rapper Iggy Azalea, in at number three.
Beg For You, featuring pop star Rina Sawayama, claimed the fourth spot.
Doing It, featuring Rita Ora, is her fifth most-played song and this is followed by The Afterparty, featuring rapper Lil Yachty, and Out Out by Corry, featuring Jax Jones and Saweetie.
Her eighth most played song is 1999, a collaboration with Australian singer Troye Sivan; Ora’s Girls, also featuring Cardi B and Bebe Rexha is ninth; and Charli’s song Hot In It with Dutch DJ Tiesto completes the list.
The singer has been making music since she was a teenager but the release of her chart-topping sixth studio album, Brat, shot her to stratospheric heights last June.
Two tracks from the album, Apple and Von Dutch, feature within her top 15 most-played UK tracks across radio and TV.
Her songs are broadcast an average of 54 times a day in the UK, amounting to one year’s continuous airplay since her first spin, PPL said.
Charli XCX’s Brat was nominated for the Mercury Prize last year and in 2025, she won three Grammys as well as several Brit Awards.
The term “Brat” became widely used after the release of the album on June 7, and was named the Collins Word of the Year 2024.
