Jane Seymour is recounting the time she once "married" late Queen frontman Freddie Mercury on a stage before thousands of people.

Seymour, 75, told the story on TikTok, sharing that she was a model in 1985, when she participated in a charity event at London's Royal Albert Hall called Fashion Aid.

"Anyway, they decided I should be Freddie Mercury's bride," she said in the video, adding that she was hired to wear a bridal gown designed by David and Elizabeth Emanuel. "So, I'm backstage. I show up — quiet, innocent, English actress... they did my hair really huge, they put me in this extraordinary gown that I could barely walk in."

"They put a wreath of flowers around my head that to this day, I remember the migraine. And a huge bouquet that I could barely carry."Jane Seymour, 73, Opens NYFW Show in Red-Hot Minidress and Heels — Watch Her Supermodel Strut! - Yahoo

"I remember at one point I'm backstage and suddenly, I think I'm flanked by David Bowie, Boy George, and Freddie Mercury. I think they looked right through me — which was hard to do, considering the amount of hair and glamour they had put in to. I was, you have to understand, I was as bridal as you could ever get," Seymour said.

Though they had rehearsed prior, Seymour was shocked, she added, when Mercury kissed her during the live event — something they had not planned.

"Freddie's just prancing off doing Freddie Mercury and I'm supposed to be his bride, so I'm like running behind like crazy and as fast as I can — this huge dress, with this headdress that's killing me, and the flowers I can barely carry, but with a smile on my face," she said. "And Freddie just suddenly turns into, like, the groom — and he kisses me! He kisses me. Right in front of everyone."

A new Royal Mint coin celebrating the iconic Queen frontman Freddie Mercury has been unveiled, with his sister stating the tribute would have "meant the world" to the legendary singer, the Independent reports.

The meticulously crafted design captures Mercury mid-performance, complete with his distinctive signature.

The coin’s intricate details narrate the story of Mercury’s extraordinary talent. His renowned four-octave vocal range is symbolised by a musical stave encircling the coin’s edge, spanning from bass to treble notes.

Further design inspiration comes from Mercury’s unforgettable Live Aid performance, featuring a studded armband edge. Certain editions of the coin also incorporate colour, vividly depicting the singer’s iconic yellow jacket and encapsulating his vibrant stage presence.

This special release coincides with significant anniversaries: 40 years since the historic Live Aid concert in 1985, and the 40th anniversary of Mercury’s solo studio album, Mr Bad Guy, released in the same year.

Queen singer's sister said the new coins would have 'meant the world' to him.
