John Lennon: Letters and lists from homelife

Many of these notes and John Lennon lists are downright trivial or scrawled badly as to be unreadable. That did not prevent them to be also auctioned for several thousand pounds.

(From Hunter Davies - John Lennon Letters) Some, however, are not devoid of interest giving indications of readings, studies, occupations and preoccupations of John in the various moments of his creative inactivity.

The house of John and Yoko at the Dakota building consisted of severals apartments office space, study, work and home life. Over the year different assistants had work in there.   Lennon Personnel assistant between 1979 and 1980 was a young newyorker named Fred Seaman.

At the time, Lennon use to spend his  time between the Dakota building and a house in Long Island. We do not know for which one the lists belong  .

Fred continuously received notes, rules and lists of things to do. Ever since John had been able to afford to hire staff, was leaving tickets and lists everywhere.

Another consists predominantly grocery list all healthy stuff apart from the minced meat for the cat. John indications on where to find some food (Korean shop) meaning that he was going outside around.

This week you should send flowers (small jar) to Yoko each morning (even today) Remember to let her know their from  by “Daddy and Sean” (usually you never say who sent them).

Then explain to me why we sleep with a front door that any madman is able to open (not closing well) Usually you're the last to go to sleep so you better check.
