The late Beatle‘s bike – a Honda Monkey-Trail Bike XUC 91H – was used by Lennon between 1969 to 1971 to get around his Tittenhurst Park estate in the Surrey countryside.

The owner of a small motorcycle bought 40 years ago has finally confirmed that it was once owned by John Lennon. John Harington was told that the Honda DAX “monkey bike” had been the musician’s when he paid £250 for it in 1971, but did not believe it.

The yachtsman, of Weymouth, Dorset, who used the bike to travel around foreign ports, researched its origins after seeing a photograph of Lennon riding it with his son Julian. The Beatle used the bike at Tittenhurst Park, his estate in Berkshire, where he lived in the late 1960s.
