Julian Lennon says he's been diagnosed with coronary heart disease and pre-diabetes, but shared that he caught the illnesses early enough to "reverse some of the damage."
The musician, 63, wrote the health update in the caption for a carousel of nature photos he shared to Instagram on May 10.
"After being diagnosed with Coronary Heart Disease & a Pre-Diabetic, I urge all to get checked out sooner than later," Lennon wrote, "as you never know what hidden health issues you may have, even after exercising and eating as much ‘good/healthy' food as possible."
"Please get checked out, before you're checked out…," wrote Lennon, who tagged his physicians, Dr. Milind Parikh and Dr. Tess Mauricio in the carousel. "And last but not least, thanks to all the Doctors who have helped and guided me on this new journey so far… Truly."
On Dec. 2024 Liverpool-born musician Julian Lennon, 63, the son of John and his first wife Cynthia, said he was told to have an operation to remove the skin cancer after visiting his dermatologist.
In a post to X, formerly Twitter, Lennon said he had gone to see his dermatologist, who had operated on his skin cancer a few years ago, before flying to New York.
"I received a message from Dr Tess (his dermatologist), with some urgency to return to Los Angeles, as I had two locations on my skin, shoulder & forearm, one of which was melanoma, that should be operated on ASAP!", he said.
"So instead of going home to put my Christmas tree up and happily finish the year off, relaxing at home, I flew directly back to Los Angeles, after all my work in New York was done, and went directly from LAX airport, to surgery, with a surgeon recommended by Dr Tess.
