Director Kimberly Stuckwisch said in a press release statement that the purpose of the music video was to examine "the 'what ifs' we experience during fleeting moments of a chance encounter."
"Thematically, the video revolves around finding joy and love right in front of you rather than constantly chasing after it. It was important to Kate and me that the video remain true to the lyrics by visually representing the powerful message of living in the moment and savoring the present, a timely reminder in today's fast-paced world," her statement read.
Kate Hudson, the star of “Almost Famous,” “Glass Onion” and other screen projects, is making good on her longstanding promise to launch a music career as well, announcing Monday that she has signed with Virgin Music Group to release her recordings.
The Academy Award-nominated actress wrote the song with her fiancé Danny Fujikawa and Linda Perry (4 Non Blondes), whilst Fujikawa and Johan Carlsson (Katy Perry, Sabrina Carpenter) helped produce the song. ‘Talk About Love’ arrives after Variety reported that Hudson had signed a deal with Virgin Music Group.
Hudson is hardly leaving acting behind to take on this additional career. Variety reported last week that she is set to star in Mindy Kaling‘s upcoming Netflix comedy series, which is set in the front office of a professional basketball team.
Having parents like Hollywood icon Goldie Hawn and singer Bill Hudson, the actress had a natural ability when it came to performing and being in front of the camera.
During an appearance on Today, which aired on Thursday, the actress opened up about her dream of releasing music. (Music-News)
Kate, 44, first teased an album release a year ago, however, no details have been revealed so far.
"I've just been writing music my whole life and I've never shared it, and so I just thought maybe I have to do that," she explained.
The interview followed soon after Kate performed an intimate concert during her annual vacation in Colorado, singing a series of covers, including a rendition of Sinead O'Connor's Nothing Compares 2 U.
"Honestly, It was very vulnerable singing in front of like a very small, I'd never sung in such an intimate space and it was very unforgiving and really good for me," the Almost Famous star said of the mini-concert. "So that was really nice, but I've always loved to sing and it's just something I'm gonna just put out there."
Kate explained that if she does venture into the music industry, she wants to do it properly.
"I always said like with music when people would ask me if I'm ever going to do it, for me, if I'm gonna do it, I'm really gonna really do it, I'm going to really commit to the process, cause I write," she told the interviewer. "There's nothing half-a**ed about my relationship to music."
Kate added of creating music, "It's the most vulnerable I think I have ever been creatively, and I'm just at a time where I just don't have the fear anymore so I just want to put it out, and we'll get there."
