KISS announce “unmasked” surprise 2025 show in Las Vegas

By VMZ Staff on March 24, 2025

It comes after Gene Simmons postponed his upcoming solo tour.

The concert is part of the KISS Army fan club’s 50th anniversary celebrations, which is set to take place at the Virgin Hotels in Las Vegas on November 14-16.

According to an email sent out to fans, the concert also promises “a special live performance from former KISS member Bruce Kulick, along with other special guests, activities, exclusive experiences and more.”

KISS have sold their music catalog and rights to the band’s branding to Pophouse Entertainment, the Swedish company behind the ABBA Voyage tour and the upcoming KISS Avatar shows.

This isn't the first time Kiss has partnered with Pophouse, which was co-founded by ABBA’s Björn Ulvaeus. When the band's current lineup — founders Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons as well as guitarist Tommy Thayer and drummer Eric Singer — took the stage at the final night of their farewell tour in December at New York City's famed Madison Square Garden, they ended by revealing digitized avatars of themselves.

Pophouse made the acquisition in a $300 million deal that nets the company rights to KISS’ music, logo, and likeness — including the band’s iconic makeup designs. The agreement also covers artist shares of master recordings and publishing rights.

An avatar show is scheduled to launch in the second half of 2027 — but don't expect it to look anything like “ABBA Voyage," Sundin told the AP. And fans can expect it to kick off in North America.

KISS become the latest major artist to sell their publishing rights, though the deal with Pophouse has far more implications for the continued exposure of KISS as a live entity, specifically the aforementioned avatar shows, which are expected to launch in 2027.

Meantime Rock legend Gene Simmons is selling his California house, it features 7 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms, formal and informal dining rooms, a great room, office, bonus room and bar. Listed by Douglas Elliman's Altman Brothers for $21,995,000. 'Luxe Life with Derek Z' gives us a tour.
