Lady Gaga has released a new live project, Mayhem Requiem, via Apple Music. The album, which was recorded during a no-phones-allowed show at Los Angeles’ Wiltern Theatre in January, “reimagines” her 2025 album Mayhem with new arrangements. It also arrives with a concert film that will show at one-night-only screenings in select AMC theaters.
In a release shared ahead of the album, Mayhem Requiem was billed as “the final chapter of the Mayhem era,” starring Gaga as “the phantom of her own gothic opera.” Each song boasts a tweaked—and in many cases, more theatrical—arrangement, with the synth pop of “How Bad Do U Want Me” becoming a more traditional ballad and “Abracadabra” opening as a spare piano étude.
Recently, on top of her cameo in The Devil Wears Prada 2, Lady Gaga contributed three original songs to the film’s soundtrack. She already shared one of them, the frothy Doechii collab “Runway,” and the other two—“Shape of a Woman” and “Glamorous Life” (regrettably not a Sheila E. cover)—are out today.
The all-female soundtrack for Prada 2 also features songs from Dua Lipa’s Radical Optimism (“End of an Era”), Miley Cyrus’ Something Beautiful (the Brittany Howard duet “Walk of Fame”), and Olivia Dean’s The Art of Loving (“Nice to Each Other”). Gaga’s last big-screen role was in the musical Joker: Folie à Deux, for which she also recorded the companion album Harlequin.
Lady Gaga and Doechii absolutely work it in the new music video for “Runway” — the duo’s collaboration for the upcoming Devil Wears Prada 2 soundtrack — strutting down the catwalk in a show-stopping parade of high-fashion looks.
Andrew Watt co-produced the track alongside Bruno Mars, Cirkut, and Dernst “D’Mile” Emile II. Watt also co-wrote the song with Gaga, Mars, Doechii, Cirkut, D’Mile, and Jayda Love.
Last year, Doechii presented Gaga with the Innovator Award at the 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards. “Growing up, I was nothing like most of the people I was around and everything about me represented a community of alternative kids that were underrepresented in my environment.”
The respect was mutual. A few months later, Gaga spoke with British Vogue and said, “The power in her words, her vulnerability, the way she rhymes with this wild mix of audacity and emotional precision — it struck me to the core.”
