Led Zeppelin have announced a new collaboration with clothing company Vans as part of their 50th anniversary celebrations.

The joint project, announced by the band on Twitter, shows two versions of the newly licensed Led Zeppelin shoes, each featuring iconic images from their classic albums together with a t-shirt. You can see the images below:

The new ‘album’ is comprised of 34 new interview clips from the band’s surviving members: Jimmy Page, Robert Plant and John Paul Jones.

The clips see the bandmembers reflect on their career, as well as specific songs and albums. They speak of their philosophy when it comes to recording new material, working with Ian Stewart, the musicality of ‘Stairway to Heaven’, and more. You can stream it here:

The band also digitally released their Record Store Day single, which featured unreleased versions of both ‘Rock And Roll’ and ‘Friends’.

Recently a rare, fully-signed copy of Black Country rock legends Led Zeppelin’s debut album is expected to fetch $20,000 dollars when it goes under the hammer today.

As there are said to be fewer than 30 known fully signed copies of Led Zeppelin I albums in the world, this example is a rare treat. (Expresstandard – Source)

As well as being signed by the full band – Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones and the late John Bonham – the price is also raised by a second signature and jokey line scrawled by Wolves vice-president Plant.

it is just one rare oddity going under the hammer at RR Auction in Boston, United States.

With roots in folk and blues, Led Zeppelin transcended the ‘70s, bringing heavy-metal and the concept of album-oriented rock to the world of music. From 1968 to 1980, its four members – Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones, and John Bonham – produced nine studio albums, touring extensively and performing at stadiums and sports arenas across the world. In all, it’s estimated the group has sold between 200 and 300 million records worldwide.
