Liam Gallagher says Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame “is for wankers” after Oasis nominated

By VMZ Staff on February 13, 2025

This marks the second time Oasis are nominated to be inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall OF Fame

Upon the news of Oasis’ nomination, Liam took to his official X/Twitter account to react to the nod. “RNR hall of fame is for WANKERS,” he wrote. One fan replied to his tweet and asked: “What are you gonna do if you win?,” with the ‘Wonderwall’ hitmaker saying: “Obv go and say it’s the best thing EVER”.

Comedians James Austin Johnson and Sarah Sherman played as siblings for a running gag on the show.

Almost a year on from the long-awaited Oasis reunion tour, Noel and Liam Gallagher shared the stage on Saturday Night Live… er, sort of.

Comedians James Austin Johnson and Sarah Sherman took to “Weekend Update” as the Gallagher siblings, promising host Colin Jost that they won't argue (and therefore split up again) before their concerts next year. In fact, the Oasis reunion tour is already shaping up to be the biggest concert experience of 2025, with US tour dates recently added and thousands of fans rushing to grab tickets online.

Everyone is wondering: will you be able not to fight each other and go on tour in about a year?", Jost asked the "Gallagher".

“I'm cool if he's cool,” replied James Austin Johnson's Noel.

“It's not a hard no, it's a maybe,” Liam/Sherman responded, to which Johnson began belting out the Wonderwall lyrics “I said maybeeeeeee.” Noel/Johnson changed the lyrics to “if Liam doesn't act like a baby” and the two started calling each other “baby” and sticking their tongues out at each other.

The brothers then ended up agreeing on only one topic: their favorite cartoon characters. LOL.

Recently The Oasis frontman gave fans a taste of what to expect on the band's much anticipated reunion tour next year

Liam Gallagher performed a handful of classic Oasis songs at Wembley Stadium last night (September 21) ahead of the Anthony Joshua vs Daniel Dubois boxing match.

The singer gave fans a taste of what to expect when he finally reunites with brother Noel Gallagher for Oasis’ long-awaited 2025 UK and Ireland reunion tour next year.

The frontman performed three Oasis songs from their seminal 1994 debut album ‘Definitely Maybe’ – ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll Star’, ‘Supersonic’ and ‘Cigarettes & Alcohol’.

It comes after the reissue of the classic record recently topped the charts – marking the first time the band have earned a number one in 14 years.
