The band announced a huge world tour last November to support the release of ‘From Zero’, their first new album since the passing of frontman Chester Bennington and the introduction of Emily Armstrong as the new singer.
As well as a huge show at Wembley Stadium, the tour includes a range of arenas around the US and Canada, with an additional mega show having initially been announced for Los Angeles’ Dodgers Stadium on September 13.
Now, an updated tour poster has revealed that the Dodgers Stadium show has been downsized to the city’s Intuit Dome – a shift from the Dodgers’ 56,000 capacity to Intuit’s 18,000.
The stadium show had also been advertised to feature sets from Queens Of The Stone Age and Jpegmafia, but the new poster only includes mention of the latter, with no reference to QOTSA.
Customers who had bought tickets to the Dodgers Stadium show will receive a full refund and will be given first opportunity to purchase tickets for the Intuit Dome show. A pre-sale begins at 10am local time on Thursday (April 3), and you can get yours here.
The new line-up of Linkin Park - Mike Shinoda, Emily Armstrong, Brad Delson, Joe Hahn, Dave Farrell and Colin Brittain – outsold Sabrina Carpenter’s ‘Short N’ Sweet’ by more than 2:1 to secure the UK top spot.From Zero opened at the summit with consumption of 37,826 units (Official Charts Company), including 23,149 physical sales (12,622 CDs, 10,054 vinyl albums, 472 cassettes), 4,474 downloads and 10,203 sales-equivalent streams. The streaming total was the second biggest of the week and not far behind Sabrina Carpenter.
‘From Zero’ is their fourth Number 1 on the UK’s Official Albums Chart following 2003’s ‘Meteora,’ 2007’s ‘Minutes To Midnight,’ and 2012’s ‘Living Things.’
Although Linkin Park’s 2000 debut album ‘Hybrid Theory’ is their best-selling album in the UK having shifted over 1.8 million copies, it only peaked at No.4 on the album chart.
