Both of those covers were released as part of the soundtrack for Apple TV+‘s first season of Bad Sisters.
Now, for the newly released second season of Bad Sisters, Harvey and Phillips have once again shared a new cover, this time putting an atmospheric take on the Joy Division classic ‘Love Will Tear Us Apart’.

Harvey said of the cover via a statement to Stereogum: “Our version of ‘Love Will Tear Us Apart’ is full of the passion we hold for the original song, but also imbued with the spirit of the new series and its narrative.”
Thanks to her new album I Inside the Old Year Dying, PJ Harvey is finally playing shows again. The singer-songwriter kicked off her first tour since 2017 this weekend in Dublin, performing her new LP in its entirety before dusting off some old favorites.
At the first of two sell-out evenings at the Roundhouse, Harvey dedicated the first half of the set to performing that album in full. Blending eerie folk with electronic influences, steeped in magical realist imagery and delivered in the Dorset vernacular, it’s a challenging if rewarding listen on record. Live, it proved an immersive experience, thanks to director Ian Rickson’s intimate staging and to musical director John Parish’s evocative yet economical arrangements.
PJ Harvey is set to headline a huge outdoor show at Gunnersbury Park next summer.
