Mick Jagger ‘Went Unnoticed’ in Charlotte Dive Bar (North Carolina)- Mick Jagger may be one of the most iconic frontmen in rock history, but that reportedly didn’t stop him from going “unnoticed” during a recent stop at a Charlotte, N.C. dive bar.

The Rolling Stones singer posted a picture of himself enjoying a beer on the front patio of the Thirsty Beaver Saloon with the caption, “Out and about last night in Charlotte, N.C.” Amazingly, none of the other people in the photo seemingly noticed they were in the presence of rock royalty. Staff at the bar have confirmed that nobody knew Jagger was there.
Then, roughly 24 hours later, when the Rolling Stones’ lead singer showed up at a place in Charlotte where everyone was expecting him to be — Bank of America Stadium on the edge of uptown — the 40,000 or so fans in attendance ... well, they had their minds blown, too.(Charlotteobserver)
Then the Stones launched into the bluesy boogie-woogie classic “Tumbling Dice,” with Steve Jordan — a longtime friend of the band and a member of Richards’ side project, the X-Pensive Winos — sitting behind the drum kit. At 64, Jordan is now the baby of the core group of guys, with Richards coming up on 78 himself and guitarist Ronnie Wood clocking in at 74 as of June. The full setlist below

The Rolling Stones have shared the previously unreleased track “Troubles A’ Comin.” The song is a cover of the 1970 original from R&B quartet The Chi-Lites, and it was recorded by the band in Paris in 1979. It will be featured on the upcoming 40th anniversary reissue of their 1981 album Tattoo You, due out October 22 via Polydor/Interscope/UMe. Check it out below.
Last month, Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts passed away at the age of 80.
The remastered expanded edition of the Stones’ 1981 album Tattoo You will include nine previously unreleased tracks and a live record.
“Me and Mick have done nine new tracks for the [40th anniversary] re-release of ‘Tattoo You’.
“And me, Rod and Kenney have been recording some new Faces music.
“I’ve had a front-row seat on some amazing rock’n’roll projects these past couple of weeks.”
Released in August of 1981, the original LP was largely composed of studio outtakes recorded during the 1970s, with new vocals and instrumental parts added on to fully complete the tracks. Though the material spanned nearly a decade — and featured recordings from more than half a dozen sessions — the collection worked impressively well together. Lead single “Start Me Up” became one of the band’s most identifiable songs, while “Neighbours” and “Waiting on a Friend” were further stand-out tracks. Tattoo You would go on to sell more than 4 million copies in the U.S.
A new Tattoo You box set would continue the Stones’ recent trend of reissuing their classic albums with unheard bonus material. In 2020, the iconic band unveiled an expanded edition for their 1973 album Goats Head Soup with three previously unreleased tracks. Likewise, 2010’s Exile on Main Street reissue featured 10 unearthed songs from the band’s vaults, updated, overdubbed and released for the first time.
In addition to the new Tattoo You set, Wood admitted he’s recently been involved in recording new material with his pre-Rolling Stones band Faces, while also working on a tribute album to blues icon Jimmy Reed.
