Nice as Fuck's debut album (video)

Nice As Fuck, the indie rock supergroup composed of Jenny Lewis, Tennessee Thomas and Au Revoir Simone's Erika Forster, released its debut video for single "Door."

The clip was shot at New York City's Deep End Club, an East Village clothing boutique and community space owned by Thomas, which is closing this weekend. In honor of the store, Nice As Fuck play a high-energy dance party, featuring the Strokes' Albert Hammond Jr. as the landlord and Moldy Peaches' Adam Green hawking newspapers on the street.

The group, which first performed at a Bernie Sanders rally, alluded to the Vermont senator with a Sanders T-shirt on Thomas' drum kit. The overarching message of the band is about embracing political and social consciousness, as illustrated by the dancers' shirts and signs extolling slogans like "Give a Damn." The band also performed their political tune "Guns" on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, wearing Sixties-inspired anti-war garb.

Nice as Fuck's debut album is out now from Lewis' own Love's Way Records.
