Despite the autopsy results being set to go public in 2027, Elvis' young lover shared her account of the devastating moment in her memoir, reports The Mirror.

Elvis Presley's last girlfriend, Ginger Alden shared grisly details of the moment she found the King of Rock dead in 1977 when she was just 21 years old.

"His arms lay on the ground, close to his sides, palms facing upward. It was clear that, from the moment he landed on the floor, Elvis hadn't moved."

"I gently turned his face toward me. A hint of air expelled from his nose. The tip of his tongue was clenched between his teeth and his face was blotchy."

"I gently raised one eyelid. His eye was staring straight ahead and blood red," the excerpt concludes.

"The position of Elvis Presley's body was such that he was about to sit down on the commode when the seizure occurred. He pitched forward onto the carpet, his rear in the air, and was dead by the time he hit the floor," he explained.

Joseph continued: "If it had been a drug overdose, [Elvis] would have slipped into an increasing state of slumber. He would have pulled up his pyjama bottoms and crawled to the door to seek help. It takes hours to die from drugs."

A prominent California physician, Forest Tennant, found that almost every organ of Elvis' was plagued by ill-health, having suffered from vertigo, back pain, and insomnia, eye infections and headaches in the 60s.

He also went into a semi-coma after suffering from jaundice, severe respiratory distress, marked swelling of his face, distended abdomen, constipation, a gastric, bleeding ulcer and hepatitis.

While some claim he died from a drug overdose, coroner Joseph Davis disagreed, having reopened an investigation into his death in 1994.

Former lover Linda Thompson instead slams 'untrue' biopic - 'I saved his life, Priscilla didn't'. Elvis long-term ex-girlfriend Linda Thompson, whose four-year relationship with The King was "erased" from Baz Luhrmann's biopic, has shared reason that marrying Priscilla was a mistake.

Elvis Presley: Linda Thompson slams 'untrue' biopic - 'I saved his life, Priscilla didn't'.
Long-term ex-girlfriend Linda Thompson, whose four-year relationship with The King was "erased" from Baz Luhrmann's biopic, has shared reason that marrying Priscilla was a mistake.

Elvis Presley met his final long-term girlfriend, Linda Thompson, in 1972 when she was just 22-years-old. But, despite the massive age gap, they fell in love, and maintained a strong relationship for around four years. Linda was one of the biggest parts of the star's life before his death, but she was nowhere to be seen in Baz Luhrmann's biopic. (Express)

"Baz Luhrmann never contacted me, there are many inaccurate and untrue elements." In particular, she pointed out, the scenes depicting the final years of his life were not correct."

"Every time Elvis was hospitalised, I’d share his room ... The film showed his ex-wife, Priscilla, at his bedside. She never even visited him, let alone stayed."

I shared a hospital room with him every time he was in hospital. I had my own bed next to his during those times. I travelled on every tour with him. I was the only woman to ever do so in this life. I was at every Las Vegas engagement during those years. I literally saved his life on several occasions.”

"Those last years, I saved his life about ten to 12 times." She also criticised how Priscilla was portrayed in the movie.

The Elvis movie showed that the star's split with his wife was somewhat amicable. But Linda claimed quite the opposite was true.

During their original meeting, she shared with him why she thought his marriage to Priscilla Presley didn't work out and the singer couldn't have agreed more.

After separating from Priscilla Presley, the 37-year-old Elvis Presley met 22-year-old Miss Tennessee model Linda Thompson at a private movie screening he was hosting in Memphis on July 6, 1972. Half a century on and she’s reposted her recollections of this first intimate encounter, as originally posted on elvis_and_linda_gram.

The first night Linda met Elvis at the Memphis Theatre in July 1972 she was pretty standoffish because it was not made public yet that he and Priscilla split up.” The King saw her and said: “Oh excuse me, hello honey.”

During one of his nuzzles, Elvis said to her: “Honey, you know I’m not married anymore.”

She replied; “You know, I’m sorry it didn’t work out for you, but you should have married a Southern girl.”

“He always remembered my saying that because he said, ‘You have no idea how honest, truthful and right on that was.’ Only if you grow up in the South do you understand that culture completely. And he was very Southern. And so, I think we had an immediate kinship. We were kindred souls right away.

But since so many people are left out who were very important and instrumental in Elvis’ life – I wouldn’t call it a biopic. I spent four and a half years of my life living with and deeply caring for Elvis on many levels.

Linda, who amicably broke up with Elvis in late 1976, added at the time: “We stayed in touch and loved each other until the day he died – even though we had broken up and I had moved out of Graceland only eight months before.

So any inclusion or exclusion in any movie ever made can never erase the important role I played in his life and he in mine. But every true fan already knows that. Thank you all for your loyalty."

The papers were sold to a phone bidder from USA at the Henry Aldridge Auctioneers in Devizes.

Auctioneer Andrew Aldridge said the 12 papers were a "fabulous piece of show business history".

Mr Aldridge said: "These are exceptional examples of Elvis's signature, being both bold and large.

"It is extremely rare to have Elvis sign in his full name, Elvis Aaron Presley, and also Aaron with two AAs, as it was written on his tombstone.

"Each of the 12 pages contains fascinating details and offers the reader a snapshot into the details involved between both parties that only legal documents can give.

"This document offers a collector the chance to own something from one of the most important episodes in Elvis's life."

He said the person selling the items was a collector from USA and had chosen the Wiltshire auction house after seeing the company's previous sales of Elvis material reported in US media.
