This black Coral Hornet guitar was used by Pete Townshend during a performance with The Who at Union Catholic High School in Scotch Plains, N.J., on November 29, 1967. The guitar was famously smashed by Townshend during the concert and approximately 3/4 of the guitar''s body remains. It was acquired by Bart Koster at the event, though the electronic components were lost over time.
