The late music legend's sister Tyka Nelson has filed papers asking to be appointed by a judge to probate his estate.In documents obtained by US website TMZ state, she states “I do not know of the existence of a will and have no reason to believe that the decedent executed testamentary documents in any form.”

Nelson, who is Prince’s only surviving full sibling, filed the documents on Tuesday at the Carver County probate court in Minneapolis.
If Prince has left no will, then his estate is expected to be split between Nelson and his six half-siblings – who are treated equally in the eyes if the law in Minnesota.
The 57-year-old, who was found dead at his Paisley Park home last Thursday, has an estimated fortune of $55 million.

A cause of death is yet to be determined, although Prince's brother-in-law Maurice Phillips has reportedly claimed the singer had worked for 154 hours without sleep.

Police are investigating whether foul play was involved in his death after authorities said they had "no reason to believe" he killed himself and there were "no obvious signs of trauma" on his body.
