Supported by the Premier League, Legends Of Football has raised more than £7 million for music therapy charity Nordoff Robbins over 20 years. Awards Cerimony will be placed at Battersea the 29th February 2019.
Arsenal fan Daltrey said: ”It’s an honour to be involved with such a great cause and to be part of a wonderful night of football and music to celebrate the career of a true footballing legend, Frank Lampard, even if he is a Chelsea hero.
"I’m also very excited to help raise funds for Nordoff Robbins who do fabulous work to change the lives of vulnerable and isolated people through music. Having been amongst the first bands to support Nordoff Robbins when The Who played one of their first events back in 1976, it’s wonderful to still be able to help such a great organisation and a truly worthy cause.”
Recently Roger Daltrey ha decleared that the actor who will play Keith Moon in an upcoming biopic will be cast based on their eyes.
“I’ve got to find a Keith Moon,” the star told BBC 6Music’s Matt Everitt recently. “It’s going to be very, very dependent on the actor and the actor’s eyes. Because you’ve got to cast it completely from the eyes because Moon had extraordinary eyes.”
“They didn’t really know Keith,” he added. “I don’t know whether anybody outside the band really got to know him like we did. He was a strange bunch of people.”
The Keith Moon film depends on someone sitting me down long enough with a writer to get it right," said Daltrey. "If I sat down for six weeks with a good writer, I could get it done. I've got it all in pictures in my head. I know what the film should look like, the way the narrative should be structured."
