Pre-orders are already live for the incredible collection, which will include both solo works and music written with the Stones, Faces, and the Jeff Beck Group.
The release will be titledFearless: Anthology 1965-2025 and will be available on both a 2-LP set and a 2-CD set starting September 26. You can preorder the sets on Wood's official website.
The anthology begins with music from Wood's first groups when he, 78, was a teenage musician, the Birds and the Creation, and then delves into his work with Beck and the Faces. In addition to the multitude of collaborations highlighted in the track list - including ones with The Beatles guitarist George Harrison, folk legend Bob Dylan, and rock icon Rod Stewart - the release also highlights four new tracks.
The records will feature Wood's original track "Mother of Pearl," as well as an updated version of "You're So Fine" featuring Imelda May and covers of Hopeton Lewis' "Take It Easy" and Allen Touissant's "A Certain Girl" featuring Pretenders singer Chrissie Hynde. The sessions for the release were produced by Wood's son, Jesse Wood, as well as Sean Genockey.
That said, it was a pretty monumental moment, as Wood - who recently celebrated 50 years with the Stones - hadn't performed publicly since the Stones played their last show in July 2024. But it's clear he's back to focusing on the music, if this performance and new release are any indication. For what it's worth, we can't wait to see what comes next for the legend.
