There is no retreat or surrender from Bruce Springsteen — or from President Donald Trump, for that matter.
The rock star released a digital EP on Wednesday with four songs recorded live in Manchester last week, along with two of his addresses to the audience that attacked Mr Trump’s “corrupt, incompetent and treasonous administration”.
The Boss pointedly opened his concert in Manchester on Tuesday night, his third in the English city, with the song No Surrender.
The rocker – who has been a staunch critic of Trump – made another attack on the White House chief and his political ideology as he introduced 'City of Ruin'.
On Wednesday, the Boss dropped his latest EP, titled Land Of Hope & Dreams, a collection of live recordings including a live version of the project’s namesake, My City Of Ruins and two speeches tearing apart the president that went viral during a stop on his tour in Manchester last week.
The project also includes a live version of Springsteen’s cover of Bob Dylan’s Chimes Of Freedom, a song expressing solidarity with people marginalised by society that the Boss reportedly hadn’t played live since 1988.
Last week, Springsteen began the latest leg of his tour with the E Street Band by bashing Trump, declaring that the US is “currently in the hands of a corrupt, incompetent and treasonous administration”.
He said: "There's some very weird, strange and dangerous s*** going on out there right now. In America they are persecuting people for using their right to free speech and voicing their dissent. This is happening now.

Neil Young has backed Springsteen, and Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder praised him during a concert in Pittsburgh over the weekend.
Neil Young has called out Donald Trump following the US President’s recent online attacks on Bruce Springsteen and other musicians.
Young shared a new blog entry on the Neil Young Archives website, where he hit out at the President: “Bruce and thousands of musicians think you are ruining America. You worry about that instead of the dyin’ kids in Gaza. That’s your problem. I am not scared of you. Neither are the rest of us. You shut down FEMA when we needed it most. That’s your problem Trump. STOP THINKING ABOUT WHAT ROCKERS ARE SAYING. Think about saving America from the mess you made.”
