The Last Dinner Party share new single ‘Knocking At The Sky’

By VMZ Staff on July 10, 2026

“We have always been inspired by poetry and performance in all forms, so spoken word with improvisational accompaniment felt like a natural extension of our art"

"We thought it apt to end this act with a story set in the sinister mythworld itself: Los Angeles"

The song appears on the deluxe edition of the London band’s second and latest album, 2025’s ‘From The Pyre’, which was released today (Thursday July 9).

Abigail Morris and co. debuted the track at London’s O2 Academy Brixton last December, and have since made it a regular fixture of their setlist. They most recently performed it at Mad Cool in Madrid last night (Wednesday July 8).

During their time on the road – even dating back to before the release of their debut album ‘Prelude To Ecstasy’ – the band have been playing ‘Big Dog’ as part of their live set and reciting a poem at each show before they play it live.

The song has remained unreleased until now, and it arrives following fans urging them to officially record and drop the song as a single.

The Last Dinner Party have shared a new track for the War Child ‘Help(2)’ charity album.“It's such an honour to be included on this record for a cause that is so close to our hearts”

The Last Dinner Party take us on “the endless carousel of being in a relationship you know you shouldn’t be in” on new ‘Help(2)’ song ‘Let’s Do It Again!’ ( NME report)

The star-studded album is set for release on March 6 via War Child Records, and will raise funds and awareness for young people whose lives have been affected by war and conflict.

The Last Dinner Party are currently out on a headline tour in the US, which runs until mid-June. From there, they head back to this side of the pond for slots at play Isle of Wight, TRNSMT, and Latitude.
