Nella fine degli anni sessanta fioriscono i festival di musica rock . Prima con Monterey Pop Festival,1967, che attira 55.000 fan al giorno per di tre giorni. Nell’estate del 1969 Woodstock attira 500.000 persone sempre per una tre giorni a Bethel, New York.
