The musician co-wrote the new track with producer and multi-instrumentalist Leon Michels, who also contributes bass, drums and tambourine on the song.
Visions" is the title of Norah Jones' new and ninth studio album. The album, a collaboration between the American musician and the producer and multi-instrumentalist Leon Michels, will be released on March 8th almost three years after the "I dream of Christmas" project.
The new album of the voice of "Sunrise", composed of 12 songs, is anticipated today, January 18, by a new single entitled "Running", with Norah Jones on vocals, piano, guitar and bass, and Leom Michels on drums and baritone saxophone.
Speaking of the new album, which also features the contribution of trumpeter Dave Guy, bassist Jesse Murphy and drummers Brian Blade and Homer Steinweiss, and of the song released today together with its video, Jones said:
"The reason I called the album 'Visions' is that a lot of the ideas came in the middle of the night or that moment before sleep, and 'Running' was one of those where you're half asleep and you wake up with a start: I had a melody and some lyrics running through my head and I just recorded them with a voice memo."
