Watch David Byrne perform ‘Tiny Desk Concert’ of solo and Talking Heads hits

David Byrne has become the latest artist to perform on NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert, bringing his band along to play a number of solo and Talking Heads hits.

The  singer is in the midst of the US leg of his Who is the Sky? tour, but made the time to make a quick stop to perform as part of the ramshackle concert series, performing four different songs from across his setlist.

Byrne spliced his set between a selection of new and old favourites, opening with the lead single from his most recent album, ‘Everybody Laughs’, before moving on to another gem from Who is the Sky?, ‘Don’t Be Like That’.

Pausing only briefly between songs to thank the audience, Byrne and his band, all dressed in matching blue boiler suits, crammed around the desk to then perform two Talking Heads classics, ‘(Nothing But) Flowers’ and ‘Life During Wartime’.

Although he did not perform it during his stint on the Tiny Desk Concert, Byrne has just released a new single called ‘T-Shirt’, which he co-wrote with longtime collaborator Brian Eno.
