Their set played out in front of a crowd of over 64,000 people, who later watched a historic 5-0 victory for Paris Saint-Germain over Inter Milan in the showpiece match, the largest ever winning margin in a Champions League or European Cup final.
“With our new album and ongoing tour, we’ve been overwhelmed by the fans’ energy and excitement,” said the band in a statement about their ongoing global outing in support of last year’s From Zero LP, their first with singer Emily Armstrong, who replaced late vocalist Chester Bennington. “We can’t wait to share that same energy and excitement at the UEFA Champions League final Kick Off Show presented by Pepsi. This marks a totally new experience for us as a band, and we’re excited to share some of our favorite songs from the past and present, with the thousands in the crowd and millions watching around the world.”
As part of the announcement, LP composed and recorded a new remix mashing up their 2004 Billboard Hot 100 No. 11 hit “Numb” with such iconic UEFA Champions League football sounds as the strike of a boot on leather, a free kick whistle and rabid fan handclaps and shouts in a colorful 45-second video with killer football highlights.
Linkin Park have released a behind-the-scenes video from the making of the music video for their new single "Up From The Bottom."
In a recent interview with Billboard, Joe Hahn, who directed the video, called Up From The Bottom "the best song we've ever done," while Mike Shinoda added the track has "one of the best videos we've ever had."
"Up From The Bottom" will be included on the deluxe edition of "From Zero" due out May 16, and will feature three new, previously unreleased songs and five live tracks recorded during the band's latest tour. "Up From The Bottom was created during the tour this year," the band said, "Let You Fade is a song that started during the 'From Zero' sessions, but found its final form after the album came out.
After throwing in a sneaky teaser snippet in their LPTV FROM ZERO video series earlier this month, Linkin Park have just announced a brand-new song.
Following last year’s 4/5-rated comeback album From Zero, the band will be releasing new track Up From The Bottom on March 27, with Mike Shinoda teasing on Instagram that he’s “very excited for you to hear this one”.

Metallica and Linkin Park, with new co-vocalist Emily Armstrong, are set to headline the 2025 Sonic Temple Art & Music Festival, taking place May 8 through 11 at Historic Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio.
The massive four-day event will feature over 100 bands, with Metallica — as previously announced — headlining the May 9 and 11 shows, and promising to play two distinct sets with no repeats. Korn, meanwhile, will headline night one on May 8, while Linkin Park will headline night three on May 10.
The Sonic Temple lineup also features big names like Alice Cooper, Rob Zombie, Incubus, Alice In Chains, Bad Omens, Mastodon, Jimmy Eat World, Suicidal Tendencies, Ice Nine Kills, Sevendust, Testament, Hoobastank, Chevelle, Deafheaven, and I Prevail.
The festival will also feature a few reunions, including Crossfade’s first performance in 13 years, a rare reunion performance from Acid Bath, and Three Days Grace performing with original vocalist Adam Gontier.
“I couldn’t be more excited to not only be back together with the rest of the band, but having Three Days Grace joining all our friends and amazing bands at Sonic Temple as our first festival appearance is going to be a very special night,” Gontier said in a statement.
