Ortofon has created a yellow Concorde cartridge, called Sonar, especially for the vessel design. It’s attached to an S-shaped aluminium tonearm (which was recently introduced to Pro-Ject’s Debut line) mounted on a MDF chassis sitting on decoupled feet. There’s also a glass platter and 33/45rpm manual speed change.
While we are awaiting details on availability, we do know that the Pro-Ject Yellow Submarine is priced £389, with a dust cover an optional.
MAD Magazine editor Bill Morrison will write and illustrate a Yellow Submarine adaptation in time for the movie’s 50th anniversary.

Apple Corps Ltd. and Titan Comics was negotiated by Bravado International, which handles licensing for the Beatles in North America. In addition to the Yellow Submarine comic adaptation, Titan’s collectibles arm Titan Merchandise will also be releasing a line of Titans vinyl collectibles based on the movie. The “All Together Now” collection features two versions of the band, as well as Blue Meanies, the Apple Bonker and the Four-Headed Bulldog, and will hit stores later this month. Lego have unveiled their new Yellow Submarine set, featuring miniature figures of The Beatles
The set was put forward to the idea’s section of Lego’s website by Beatles fan and singer-songwriter Kevin Szeto – before it received the necessary 10,000 votes to go into production.
The set featuring John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr, along with the submarine itself and a miniature of Jeremy Hillary Boob from the ‘Yellow Submarine’ animated movie.
