Legendary singer Roger Daltrey has announced a headline concert performance as part of the Margate Summer Series, where he will perform different takes on classic The Who songs and solo hits.
Joined by a host of special guests including one of the most successful -and most loved- bands of the modern era, Ocean Colour Scene. OCS’ rip-roaring live shows have long been one of the most extraordinary sights in modern rock.
Roger says: “Here we go again! After touring the US with this band of phenomenal musicians, I can’t wait to get back on the road in the UK with these shows. It’s a joy to be on stage performing and sharing familiar songs in an unfamiliar way.”
Roger Daltrey, 81, said he's "ready to go at any time" and made a solemn promise to fans after admitting he's "nervous" about "making in through" The Who's forthcoming "The Song Is Over" farewell tour, which is scheduled to kick off later this month.
Speaking to The Times recently, Daltrey stipulated that his "voice is still as good as ever," but promised fans that the upcoming dates are "certainly the last time you will see [The Who] on tour." "It's grueling," he continued. "In the days when I was singing Who songs for three hours a night, six nights a week, I was working harder than most footballers."
