Wet Leg’s new album has topped the Official Vinyl Albums Chart and the Official Record Store Chart, which has named it the biggest seller of the previous seven days in UK independent record shops.
‘Moisturizer’ claimed the top spot and beat Oasis’ ‘Time Flies… 1994-2009’ (3), ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?’ (4) and ‘Definitely Maybe’ (5).
In reaction to the news, Wet Leg posted a photo on their social media channels where Teasdale can be seen holding a vinyl copy of the album while wearing an Oasis-labelled T-shirt. However, instead of the Gallagher brothers, this t-shirt features a still from the 1994 comedy Dumb and Dumber. On their Instagram story, they wrote, “Yay, eat shit Oasis hehe.”
